Would you know what to do if a baby or child needed first aid?

Having a good understanding of emergency paediatric first aid is invaluable. Knowing how to respond quickly and confidently in those first few minutes before professional help arrives can make a real difference.

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is a nationally recognised qualification that meets the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements. It is ideal for:

  • Those who have gained a Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification and need emergency paediatric first aid to be included in staff-to-child ratios in line with EYFS requirements.

  • Owners and staff of baby and children's businesses, such as baby classes, toddler groups, soft play centres, children's activity providers and sports clubs.

  • Anyone who cares for babies and young children.

Delivered in a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment, this practical one-day course combines hands-on learning with realistic scenarios to help you build the confidence to act in an emergency.

What will you learn?

During the course you will learn:

  • The roles and responsibilities of an emergency paediatric first aider.
