Service Description

This 6 hour course is suitable for those who want to have a good understanding of emergency baby and child first aid. It is ideal for those who work with children, but who are not required to comply with the Ofsted/EYFS requirements. What will you learn? Roles and responsibilities of the first Aider ​Incident and casualty assessment Unconscious casualty ​The Recovery position CPR for Infant and Child with use of AED Choking Infant and Child ​Epilepsy ​Wounds, bleeding and shock ​Bites and Stings ​Accident recording Other Information: Assessment is continuous throughout the day and there is also a multiple choice question paper. On completion of the course a 3 year certificate will be issued subject to passing assessments. Learners must be physically capable of carrying out the practical aspects of the course and must be a minimum 14yrs of age. Free parking available at venue. Tea/coffee & biscuits provided.
